THE NEW DORM

Completed Dormitory four days before the Opening and the front yard is a mess!

Three days before the Opening and the trucks start arriving  with the fill dirt.

Two days until the Opening and 90 truckloads of fill dirt and we still have a mess!

One Day to go! The flowers are planted and the dorm is given a final inspection.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Handing over the KEY

Nearly 60 Taiwanese business men and their wives came out for the Opening Ceremony of our new Dormitory on the Second of June, 2009! They had designed and supervised the construction of the building from start to finish.

The Boys side with bathrooms straight ahead.

The Recreation Room is between the two Dorms.

The New Office is spacious and has plenty of light.

We are very grateful to the Lions Club of Taiwan,

The Taiwan Commercial Association in Cambodia,

and the many Taiwanese business people in Asia

who have helped fund the building of our new dormitory.

It is the first step in our long range program

that  will eventually make

The Wat Opot Children’s Community

a self sustaining community

capable of providing quality care and education

for the Vulnerable Children and Orphans of Cambodia.
