We didn't have a Christmas Tree but we did have a green bush in the back garden and so we decorated it.
We didn't have ornaments but the kids got creative and made some of their own by cutting plastic water bottles and blowing balloons up inside of them.
We didn't have the funds to buy them all presents but thanks to a couple of donors we picked up several boxes from the Post Office the day before Christmas, and were able to give each child 2 pair of underwear, a lollypop, a water pistol, and a Teddy Bear of their choice.
There is no easy way of matching 65 children with 66teddy bears and so we decided it was best to let each child choose one for themselves. Starting from the youngest and going to the oldest each child was allowed to come up and take one.

And CHRISTMAS NIGHT no one slept alone. |

In the morning we regrouped to make sure everyone was getting along okay with their new Teddy Bears and to decide on what we should do with the one big cuddly bear that was left over from the night before. |
Since everyone seemed content with the one they chose, there was only one Right thing to do… give it to the biggest baby in the group. |
